It's all about children

Inspired is not the right word; provoked is more fitting. This poem was provoked by the heinous 9/11 attack. It includes also, the state of the environment at the time.

Although the LGBTQ movement began many years before I was either not aware of that fact, nor was it on my mind as I wrote this poem. The poem infers that monogamy is synonymous with heterosexual relationships and that a wedding ring is important. Neither of those things are true. So I apologise to the LGBTQ population and to any other good person who at first took offence. Please accept the words as poetic license.

But I do not apologise to the greedy bastards as mentioned in the poem, people like Musk, Trump and similar.

It’s All About Children

Let’s banish the bastards that fight for greed
that hinder simple men from sowing seed.
Gimme a world with lions and cheetahs
not one with weapon repeaters.
Gimme a life where woman has her equal right,
an existence where a man and woman delight
in a common bond
where he is fond
and she is able to feel for him
and they never have to live on the brim
of desperation
and degradation.
Gimme a soul that loves the stars
and planets from Earth to Mars.
I’d travel the Galaxies afar
in an inter-galactic car
just to find a being
who is always seeing
the reason why Mother put him on his planet:
why she gave fish to the greedy Gannet.
We always seek this reason
through season and season and season,
but never do we ever find out why,
is the desert yellow and why we have a blue sky.
We seek the answer the whole day long
and, do you know what is really wrong?
We don’t even know which question we mean.
This is why we have never seen
a glimmer of hope and light.
Yet we think we are always right.
What is the reason for life?
And why do we live in trouble and strife?
In a cloud of ganja it is plain to see.
It is Mother who can make us free.
Nature gives us all this life,
child, man, friend and wife.
And they are not so far away
from the answer we seek every day.
Monogamy is an essential thing
with children comes the wedding ring.
No child deserves life without a father,
and no other,
without his mother.
This is why we must all live in peace.
For children are the Golden Fleece
and they need us, need our care,
and must have something to share.
We are all children, even you and me
that is why we must never flee
from this bond that we must bind,
the one which our children must find
to be the saviour and help-line in their lives.
So they can grow and have their own husband and wives.
Yes it is love that keeps this earth a spinning
and love that keeps us a winning
and feeling wanted, needed and alive.
That is the only way that you, I, and children survive.
Through love, not war, not anger, or hate.
So let us all just wait,
until that feeling does return.
Where the sun no longer does burn,
but warms and makes one glow,
so that we all know,
there is just one way to live –
just take your love and give.
